Biography
Florence Mwendapole is a Tanzanian-based multidisciplinary artist working in poetry, visual art, film, writing and creative programming. Her poetry often blends surrealism with everyday life, exploring the space between imagination and lived experience. With a background in Journalism and Mass Communication, she works as a curator and is the co-founder of Wasafiri Creative Works, an interdisciplinary arthouse developing and showcasing independent creative works. Through Wasafiri, she also runs Sanaa Alerts, a bilingual platform connecting East African artists to creative opportunities.
